Problem

Navigating the current Swedish housing market can be a daunting task. Consequently, Vakansa has taken on the challenge of providing a solution that not only addresses the accessibility issues of the housing market but also tackles the problem of limited mobility. This approach benefits both homeowners and individuals in search of secure housing.

challenge

Our challenge was to create a new brand and product for a wide audience, spanning both young and elderly individuals. The key concern was ensuring trust and security in our visual design, especially for the older demographic who might not be as tech-savvy.

How could we communicate enough security and trustworthiness through our visual design?

Inspiration

Our goal in creating the visual brand and logo was to convey stability and security. The logo's inspiration came from an apartment blueprint, resembling windows or an open door. It represents both an open space and the concept of "turning a new page," aligning with the brand's message.

UI/UX Process

We focused on addressing the needs of elderly users throughout the Design Thinking process, particularly in streamlining onboarding, ad creation, and navigation. Research led us to conclude that a step-by-step approach was ideal for simplifying the user experience.

High-Fidelity Wireframes

We then tested a prototype resembling a questionnaire, received positive feedback, and proceeded to develop high-fidelity wireframes.

Solution │ Step-by-Step questionnaire

We created a user-friendly website that simplifies the process of creating a rental housing ad even for the less techy users.

The app guides users step-by-step, with the key concept being to answer one question at a time, ultimately generating a complete ad.
